Requirements for Funding

The Mariann Steegmann Foundation is committed to high scientific standards and good scientific practice. Its aim is to strengthen gender issues in musicology and music education as well as a fundamental revision of music historiography. The same is expected of project proposals. They should be written in such a way that the following aspects are visible and assessable:

•  scientific quality, reflection on research methods
•  substance, potential for change and sustainability for music-related gender research
•  contextual/interdisciplinary research, or gaining knowledge through cooperation with   performance projects
