Funding is available:
- Printing cost subsidies for academic gender publications up to 3500 € (applications must include a table of contents, a sample chapter and a calculation),
- Travel and accommodation costs for conferences (but not expenses/daily allowances),
- Grants for (postgraduate) research work in a university context; funding in the scope of doctoral scholarships or research assistant positions (shares) cannot be funded (corresponding applications can be submitted to relevant doctoral funding institutions),
- Grants for (scientific) events in the field of gender research; applications for grants for concerts and performances will only be accepted if the musical performances are accompanied by clearly recognizable scientific components such as workshops, lectures or other projects that promote reflection; this must be clearly stated in the project application. Grants will only be awarded for the production of CD booklets, podcasts or films if their content meets academic standards; an exposé must be enclosed with the application.
Applications for the purchase of relevant books and sheet music by gender institutions, institutions and libraries as well as grants for extensive digitization projects are generally not eligible for funding. They should have an innovative character and high professional quality.
Not eligible for funding:
- Purely artistic projects,
- institutional funding of facilities,
- longer-term funding of measures,
- The subsequent subsidization of completed projects or the reimbursement of pre-financing granted elsewhere, the closing of general or special budget gaps in projects and the compensation of deficits caused by the loss of other financiers are generally excluded from funding,
- Project applications that include a subsidy for social reasons are excluded.
